As a California Native, James was raised by his loving and supportive family in the Central Valley. He was first introduced to performing in theatre at age of five. His father used to give him the spare change they would collect while they were out shopping. As his father carefully placed the change into his hands, he would tell him, “Don’t ever change.” After four years, James used all the coins he had collected from his father to purchase his first guitar. He then began taking lessons, and it wasn’t long before his passion for music blossomed.
From there James started attending open mic nights at a local restaurant called Starving Artists. Some of the other artists that he met while playing there soon started inviting him out to open for them. At age thirteen he was playing out three or four nights a week. James continues to work hard and loves playing out every opportunity he gets!
